Promising Wicker Furniture

Wicker goods’ have been found in every trace of civilization since human history long can be remembered. Some tradition said that knitting, weaving, and wicker working techniques were founded by Enoch (Prophet Idris in Islam), the seventh descendant of Adam, and the great grandfather of Noah, tens thousands years ago. Since then, the knowledge has been perfected from generations to generations.

Commonly, wicker-working technique is a technique to create wicker furniture by weaving natural fibers into a strong construction.  The most common materials are weed, leaves, bamboo, and rattan. It varies depend on the location and cultural background of its maker.

Rattan is mainly chosen in South East Asia, where a great abundance of it could easily be found.  Rattan is cheap, flexible, and strong, suitable for wicker furniture material. Next to bamboo, we could easily found rattan wicker baskets, chairs, and tables in South East Asia countries such Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. It is not so hard to create wicker rattan furniture. As long as we weave them precisely well, and tie them hard as the finishing, within only a few hours a strong wickerwork goods can be created. That is why this field can be so promising as a business potential
