A Forgotten Small Space

Downstairs area is probably difficult to enhance, because the space is not wide and high enough. Built in furniture can be an appropriate choice, but how if there is other existing furniture. We can use it to enhance this area with any furniture at home. In fact, you can save more without purchase any new furniture.

Storage like cabinet or shelves enables to use if there is enough space for it. On the other hand, put some DIY shelves if there is not enough space in it. As mentioned before, built-in furniture is more suitable. Several wooden planks arranged in such a way that can be used as a shelf. Keep your favorite books or other decoration on here.  Alternatively, use is a cabinet. A wooden door instantly changes it as built-in cabinet.

It the downstairs’ area in the front part of the house, use it a foyer. Put some console table and one or two chairs. You are able to use stool or bench that has smaller size. Rattan furniture that usually made in simple design will look appropriate in this small area. Besides, rattan furniture brings natural impression in this area.

Other decoration, for example, unique coat hanger or tall bigger porcelain jugs to keep umbrellas. If there any wall space, a painting or other hanging decoration could be great on it. However, keep it in proportion with the width of space. Do not be too excessive on decorating the room. Instead of enhancing, the downstairs area will look like a garage sale.
